Angie has served as Executive Director at Country Charm for almost 2 years. During that time, she has created a positive work environment for her team and a caring and compassionate place to live for her residents. Angie can always be counted on to handle any situation. Her team’s care metrics are among the highest in the company, which shows the high level of care her team provides to the residents. Angie is willing to be there for her team and her residents at any time and shows a high level of commitment day in and day out.

Stating that Amanda is our “Business Office Coordinator” does not nearly do justice to how amazing she truly is! She is the eyes and ears of our building. She is the ear when a resident has a complaint about a bill, a staff member has a complaint about how their PTO or timecard was completed, and when the managers need to vent about how our day is going. She’s the eyes of our building when someone enters; she’s the eyes when she notices a decline in a resident and reports it to the clinical staff; and she’s the eyes of help when she sees someone struggling on the floor. She is also the ear to listen when a resident is having a bad day because they feel like their family isn’t here for them; she’s the ear when an employee is stressed about how they need more hours to cover their bills; and she’s the ear when we are having a bad day to offer the time we need to vent. More importantly, she is the heart of our building. She offers care, love, and compassion in the most important times of need.

Cindy is a great nurse. She knows what is going on in her building. She communicates excellently with her team. She has been a great addition to our team. Cindy was very quick to learn the residents and staff; she has that knack of engagement. She has been utilized to help train new nurses in our area, which speaks volumes for itself.

JJ is so incredibly talented in her ability to take a very long, confusing, and complicated meeting and turn it into a 2-page summary that is so easy to read and understand. It’s the most helpful thing I’ve come across in a long time. Also, the way she creates her training documents is the same - very easy to follow and direct to the point. I absolutely love it and am trying to emulate her style! I’m gonna copy you, JJ, haha. Thank you!!

I am truly grateful for Kerston, whose knowledge, dedication, and willingness to help never go unnoticed. No matter the question or challenge—whether it falls squarely within her scope or not—she always steps in with patience, insight, and a genuine desire to support the team. Her expertise makes our work stronger, and her kindness makes our days easier. I deeply appreciate everything she does and the positivity she brings to every situation.

Sterling showed up when Baytown was at its lowest and needed the most help. He shows up 24/7 and 365 when needed for the residents. Not once has he said he couldn’t do something. He is a shining example of what a Maintenance Director should be, and I’m so proud and thankful that he is at Baytown where he is SO INCREDIBLY needed! Thank you, Sterling, for all that you do for Baytown!

The advancements that help improve our processes on the AR side stem from Banjery. She is very knowledgeable in these areas and has incredible ideas to streamline workflows so we can all work smarter and not harder. Easiest boss to talk to and like a breath of fresh air! I am so glad I am getting to know her and working alongside the AR team. So excited to see how AR takes its new shape for the future with her at the helm.

Before Penny, Baytown was stagnant. We were doing ok with census, but there was just “something missing.” It was Penny Clark. Her ability to bring a team together and laugh with you so you feel comfortable, but also get things done, is remarkable! I will truly miss working side by side with her, but thankful that I got to witness the beginnings of Baytown’s incredible growth. Penny — you are amazing at what you do, keep being who you are, and don’t let the small things weigh you down. You have made incredible strides. Keep pushing, and like I always told you, I got your back!

When I first started in AR, Stephanie always made herself available to help me with my many questions. I never felt like I was bothering her or felt bad for shooting her a quick chat when an issue arose. She would check in with me to see if everything was going ok and even sends things that she finds out so we can learn together. Stephanie is like that one warm sunny spot on a cold day, the cool side of the pillow when you’re a little hot. Seriously the easiest person to get along with and so incredibly sweet and helpful!

To wear their heart on their sleeve is what Krystal Toney offers, but with clear understanding of potential residents’ needs. She knows we can’t always take all leads that come to her, but she will help in any way she can to get them other contacts if it’s a skilled need or a Medicaid need. Krystal listens, offers thoughts, and is available when needed. She has been our Sales Director for a little over 8 years. Building a rapport with our local community and families of our residents is what has made LaurelHurst and LaurelWoods successful.
